Every pet from the Chequamegon Humane Association is spayed or neutered, health checked by a veterinarian, dewormed, and vaccinated as appropriate for their age. A tax-deductible adoption fee is required, as this helps us continue to provide medical care for every critter that comes through our doors. The adoption fee is $120 for a dog or puppy and $50 for a cat or kitten. Our staff encourages people interested in adopting to bring all household members to the shelter to visit with the animals. This way you increase the chance of a match that makes the entire family happy. CHA does require potential adopters to fill out our Consultation Form in order to help ensure a great match between people and pets. You can fill out the form in just a few minutes when you come to the shelter to meet the adoptable pets.
